Return & Exchange Policy

Need to send something back? No worries, we'll do our best to help you. We want you to be satisfied!

How long do I have?

We offer a period of 15 days from when you receive your item for returns/exchanges. However, if you have extenuating circumstances, let us know.

Once you email us to initiate your return/exchange, we ask that we receive your package within two weeks.

What's the return process?

DO NOT RETURN TO SENDER PACKAGES MUST GO TO:

Send your return/exchange package to:

Peau De Loup
1245 Frances St
Vancouver, BC
V6A 1Z4

We ask that you send the item back to us in its original condition in its original packaging (or similar poly mailer - please do not mail back in paper envelope). In order to be eligible merchandise must not be washed, worn, modified, or damaged.

Because your return will most likely find a new home with someone else, all returned items will be inspected to ensure they are in resellable condition. We will let you know via email if there are any issues with your return.

What's eligible to be returned?

All items must be in their original condition in the original packaging (or similar poly mailer - please do not mail back in paper envelope). In order to be eligible merchandise must not be washed, worn, modified, or damaged. (This includes box pleat alterations... sorry!)

Sale items are eligible for exchanges only, and Funderwear is final sale for hygiene reasons.

Who pays for the return?

If you received the correct item and it isn't damaged or faulty, you pay the shipping costs for the return. This includes all return/exchange shipping costs, including customs and duties.

We subsidize shipping as much as we can for our wonderful customers, but if we were to pad our prices to accommodate the cost of paying for returns, our prices would have to go up for everyone - not just those who need to return or exchange.

If you are shipping from outside Canada, please mark your package as a warranty return or a return worth $0.00 - more info below.

If you require any assistance or have any questions regarding a return, please e-mail info@peaudeloup.com.

What if I got the wrong item?

Oops! We are a small business made up of a handful of very busy people, and this sometimes happens... please email us right away at info@peaudeloup.com and we will solve this for you as quickly as possible! Because we run out of stock really quickly on popular items, DO NOT WAIT. Email us right away to let us know of our error - we would hate to run out of the proper item before we realize our mistake.

Do you refund shipping costs?

No, we do not! We subsidize shipping costs for our wonderful customers as much as we are able, and provide free shipping for qualifying orders, but we are unable to refund shipping costs on any returns and exchanges that are not due to faulty merchandise.

Customs/Duties Disclaimer for International Customers

Peau de Loup is a proudly Canadian company. We ship from our warehouse located in beautiful Vancouver, BC. When you order from outside Canada, including the United States, your package may be subject to import duties or taxies levied once your order crosses the border into your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance are the customer's responsibility; Peau de Loup has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be, as they are charged by your government border control agency.

Customs policies vary significantly from country to country; please contact your local border control agency if you need more information. When ordering from Peau de Loup, you are considered to be the importer and must comply with all local laws and regulations of the country in which the products are received. Please be aware that all packages crossing international borders may be subject to being opened and inspected by customs authorities.

The same is true of return shipping. That's why we ask that you are careful about marking your package when you return internationally; talk to your chosen postal carrier about how to properly mark a return so it does not incur additional customs charges. Because the merchandise originated in Canada, if the package is properly labeled it should not incur additional taxes. This may mean you need to mark it as a "warranty return" or some other verbiage. We do not pay return customs charges or return shipping, so we want to keep this as simple and clear for our customers as possible!

We understand that it can be frustrating navigating this complex process, so if we can help, please email us at info@peaudeloup.com and we'll be happy to assist!

Price Adjustment Policy

Noticed that an item you purchased is now on sale? We will honor price adjustments within 3 calendar days from the date you submitted your order. In order to do this, contact info@peaudealoup.com within that period to request a refund equal to the difference between the price you were charged and the current selling price.

Please note that this price adjustment policy can only be claimed once for each order and excludes limited-time price reductions for special promotions, such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Size & Fit

Please see our size charts below. Looking for something you haven't found here? Email us at info@peaudeloup.com and we'll do our best to help or even add to this page if necessary.

Button-Up Sizing Guide

Fit is incredibly personal - some like their shirts to fit snugly around their body while others prefer to wear them looser. We've provided a number of fit charts below to help you find your fit. Note that there are some variations in the way different fabrics will hang on your body, and some shirts will fit more snugly than others. We recommend always sizing up in flannel.

If you're at the top 1 - 1.5 inches of the bust range, you will likely have to release the box pleat.

Below are the flatlay measurement charts for our Alpha shirts. We have shown our measurements taken from lying the garment flat and measuring in inches. We recommend grabbing a shirt you own in similar fabric and comparing!

In between sizes? Go for the smaller one - there’s a pleat in the back of every PDL shirt that you can remove with a seam ripper - this will give an extra 1½ inches in the chest to prevent button-gape.

Fit Guide by Style

One of PDL's foundational values is to create classic products. That’s why we have a suite of standard styles that we make in an assortment of fabrics. Once you know your fit in a particular style, you’ll be ready to snap it up when a limited edition upcycled fabric you love pops into our collection!

We've photographed a variety of styles on a few different bodies so you can get an idea of how our shirts might look on you. If your questions aren't answered here, please get in touch with us for personalized fit advice.

BUTTON DOWN

The PDL classic Alpha fit. A box pleat half-sewn down in the back for easy size adjustments, a collar that buttons down at the lapels, and our signature inside pocket. Available in a wide variety of fabrics, from flannel to Oxford to poplin and more, in short sleeve or long sleeve. > learn more about the box pleat and how it lets you customize your fit here.

BUTTON UP
A more formal take on our classic shirt, the button up features no lapel buttons and a stiffer collar that holds its shape. Typically made of stiffer, more premium fabrics, this is your go-to shirt for a formal event. It has an ever-so-slightly slimmer and shorter form (about 1cm shorter in the sleeve and torso) than our typical Alpha fit, with the same shoulder width.

COLLARLESS
Fashion-forward and unique, the collarless shirt features a modified, relaxed Alpha fit with no pocket and an open box pleat – making it less fitted in the body. You can sew the box pleat down yourself if you want a snugger fit.

CAR COAT & WALKING JACKET
Our terms for an unlined light shirt-jacket perfect for wearing while you walk. Our jackets are made out of heavier fabrics, from cotton flannel to wool to corduroy, and feature our signature embroidered pocket on the outside of the left breast. The car coat has outside patch pockets while the walking jacket has slit pockets for your hands.

FLANNEL
Our flannels come in almost all our collar and body styles, but they’re special in that they tend to fit snugly – especially since we tend to wear them over a tee shirt – and they’re more likely to shrink in the wash. Therefore, we recommend you always size up in flannel.

ABOUT THE MODELS

Our size 4 model is 5'9", with a 34" bust, 25" waist, and 32" hips.

Our size 8 model is 5'9", with a 36.5" bust, 30.5" waist, and 42" hips.

Our size 16 model is 5'10".

Customizing Your Shirt with the Box Pleat

The box pleat at the back of PDL shirts allows for a bit of flexibility in sizing. Note: collarless shirts do not have their pleat sewn down by default.

Removing the Pleat for More Space in the Bust

If your shirt fits in the shoulders and arms but is a little snug through the bust, you can remove the pleat to gain an extra inch and a half in that area. Kindly note that shirts with the pleat removed are no longer eligible for exchange or refund.

To remove the pleat, you will need a seam ripper. This little tool comes with most sewing machines and sewing kits. Watch the video below to see how it's done:

Extending the Pleat to Take Your Shirt In at the Hips

If the shirt is too roomy around the hips, you can also extend the pleat to take the shirt in by 1 - 1.5inches from the waist down. This is a pretty simple sewing job if you have the skills. You'll need a sewing machine and an iron. Kindly note that all modified shirts are ineligible for return/exchange.
